Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager. This position is an integral part of facility leadership providing financial analysis, internal controls and direction for many aspects of the operation. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Finance. Key responsibilities include:
Manage and execute month and year-end close procedures
Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
Prepare monthly commission statements and initiate payments to manufacturers' reps
Prepare regular sales tax returns for states into which taxable sales occurred
Create entries to book payroll and act as payroll processing backup for Human Resources
Prepare monthly accounting and tax reports, including GAAP financial statements
Supervise accounting and clerical staff
Provide timely and insightful financial analysis to plant management that drives improved decision-making

Must Haves
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5 - 8 years of experience, manufacturing industry a plus. A proven knowledge of ERP software systems and Microsoft Office products, with high-level Microsoft Excel skills is required. Also required is supervisory and leadership experience combined with solid verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multitask. Must be detail oriented and be able to interact with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, production, shipping and sales staff.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
