Pipe Layer

SUMMARY: Performs a variety of manual tasks involving physical labor associated with pipe laying and excavating equipment functions at work sites as directed by supervisor or general manager.

DUTIES: Good communication skills (including listening, writing and speaking). Ability to work with people as part of a team, to handle stressful situations, to follow directions and make good decisions. Ability to coordinate two or more limbs while sitting, standing, laying down. Ability to detect the difference in sounds that vary in pitch and loudness. Ability to exert maximum muscle force to life, to push, pull or carry objects. Ability to see details at a distance as well as to close range and to judge distance between you and an object. Ability to quickly respond with hand, finger or foot to signal, including the ability to choose quickly between two or more movements in response to two or more different signals such as lights, sounds, pictures etc. Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED required. Minimum 5 years of construction or excavation experience with specific experience performing the duties associated with pipe laying and equipment operations. Valid Washington State driver's license required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
